A top-of-the-range hammock

Colombia is famous for its handcrafted hammocks. It's one of the countries with the most users in the world. Renowned for its hammock expertise, the village of San Jacinto is home to the country's finest hammocks. Our privileged relationship with one of the country's finest workshops enables us to offer you exceptional hammocks. The XXL "El Rey" hammock is an undeniably luxurious choice, with its long bangs. Its appearance evokes an atmosphere reminiscent of Roman times. It's great to see how design can transport the spirit through time.

Installation and manufacture of our Colombian hammocks

Luxury hammocks, like the XXL "El Rey" hammock, can be used both indoors and outdoors. To preserve it for many years, we advise you to install it in a sheltered spot if possible (as shown in the photos). In this case, always protect it from the elements and the sun.

This hammock is made from extra-fine yarn, a blend of cotton and acrylic. This yarn helps the colors to stand up to the effects of washing and sunlight. The weave is very tight, creating a firm, stable bedding and a thick fabric. To find out more, click here how the San Jacinto hammock is made

By lying correctly in a hammock (diagonally), we can relieve our backs, avoiding any twisting, and promote complete relaxation of the body. Neurological researchers have found that the gentle rocking of a hammock helps us to fall asleep more quickly than in an ordinary bed: The effects of rocking: why we love hammocks so much.

Arturo Uslar Pietri: The hammock, Indian bed and chair, and philosophy of life

Venezuelan writer, poet and intellectual Arturo Uslar Pietri, who was also Venezuela's Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, describes the hammock as follows: It is the bed and armchair of the Indian. It comes from the deepest and most remote America. More than an essential living object, it's a philosophy of life. The hammock is over 1,000 years old, and we respect that!
